Before Amplifier can ship Orders for you, you need to tell us just what might be IN those orders. You do this by Adding Items.

Adding Items One At A Time

If you only plan on selling a few products, this is the easiest way.

1. Click the gold "+ Item" located in top right corner and choose Create Item

Then fill out the required fields.

When Adding Items, you must provide accurate information. Giving Amplifier bad data can result in expensive consequences – a typo on the SKU Field could result in the wrong item shipping out! Once you finish Adding your ITEM, Amplifier will let you review it before saving it.

A note on adding the Supplier the very first time: After adding the Supplier here, you'll need to go back as a second step to select (highlight) it at the Item level. If you forget to do this, it will result in not being able to create an ASN for the Item from that Supplier.

After adding a new Item, you can then configure it. Some common configurations are:

  • UPC / XREF: add the Item's UPC or alternative reference number

  • HTS Code: a required field for international shipping

  • Discontinued: indicates an item will no longer be restocked

  • Fragile: tells Amplifier to add additional protective packaging to ensure it arrives to customer undamaged

  • Ship Separately: tells Amplifier that this item is always to ship by itself, even if there are other items in the order, which is a common setting used for very large items that ship in their own boxes

Click Save and then Congratulations, your ITEM is live!
